ENG - The design involves an area, located south of Rome, with a strong functional diversity: in the proximity of the project area there are a public sports center, two high schools, a shopping mall, the headquarter of the fire brigade and an entire residential district built in the 70's. Lastly, one of the high school has a recording studio inside, because of the legacy of a family to remember the untimely death of their son, who was a musician.

It's an unusual function for a high school in Italy but it can attest a cultural vocation of the place that can be boosted by the connection with a new theater.. So that's why a theater, and a school for acting, dancing and playing. Hence a Cultural Centre. There are no theaters within 50 km and nevertheless it is the best building possible to link all these differences and even cemented a community. Just play!

ITA - La progettazione coinvolge un'area, situata a sud di Roma, con una forte diversità funzionale: in prossimità dell'area di progetto sono presenti un centro sportivo pubblico, due scuole superiori, un centro commerciale, la sede dei vigili del fuoco e un intero quartiere residenziale costruito negli anni '70. Infine, uno dei licei ha uno studio di registrazione al suo interno, per via dell'eredità di una famiglia a ricordare la prematura scomparsa del figlio, che era un musicista.

È una funzione insolita per un liceo in Italia ma può attestare una vocazione culturale del luogo che può essere potenziata dal collegamento con un nuovo teatro. Ecco perché un teatro, e una scuola di recitazione, danza e gioco. Da qui un Centro Culturale. Non ci sono teatri nel raggio di 50 km e tuttavia è il miglior edificio possibile per collegare tutte queste differenze e anche cementare una comunità. Gioca e basta!
